Harvey Pekar, morto em 2010, escreveu esta HQ em colaboração com o artista J.T. Ward, Not the Israel My Parents Promised Me. No livro, o autor mostra todo sua frustração com o atual estado de Israel. O livro tem tido repercussão nos EUA e coloca em xeque todo o humor judaico que tanto influencia a literatura e o cinema. Pekar critica sobretudo a ocupação em territórios palestinos realizados por judeus israelenses.
Waldman desenhou esta última HQ autobiográfica de Pekar, que ficou conhecido por seu trabalho em American Splendor. O livro saiu pela pequena editora Hill & Wang, por 25 dólares.
